Description Abilities are our permanent set of talents and natural strength. They stabilize in the person at about age 14 and are virtually the same throughout the person’s working years. They include ways we learn, communicate, make decisions, work with objects, and use our creative and mental talents. The Highlands assessment is one test that yields objective information. It is the basic knowledge a person needs before making any career decision. It is compared to a CAT –Scan for ones’s body.
Research has proven to us that certain kinds of tasks use definite patterns of our aptitudes. Research has also show that if a person works in a situation that matches his or her individual ability pattern, the chances of being successful will definitely increase. If you know and understand your natural aptitudes, you will be able to work more effectively. Conversely, more stress is created in any situation when we go against our natural aptitudes.
The
Highlands Ability Battery is a test available
on a CD that takes between 3 and 3½ hours to complete.
It is a set of 19 validated, objective worksamples
that show you where your natural aptitudes lie.
By yielding objective information, it is the basic
knowledge a person needs before making any career
decision. It is compared to a CAT-SCAN
for one’s body.
The assessment is not like other kinds of tests. You cannot prepare for it—it is not learned material. All scores, high and low, illustrate individual ability patterns.
From
the assessment, you find out how you naturally work
best, and what are good career fits for you.
Group
Feedback
After taking The Highlands Ability Battery, feedback
can be done individually or in small groups. Some people
prefer a small group as it is less expensive and information
is learned from others in a similar situation.
