Career Assessment Packages

Adult assessment packages are available from $135 – $1,000

Package #1: Career Compass Coaching Package*: for the “adult wanderer” or confused.

Includes:

  • Highlands Ability Battery (Taken online)
  • Strong Interest Inventory
  • Myers Briggs

After taking the assessments online, you will come in for three coaching sessions (3-4 hours of counseling) where we will review the results and discuss:

  • Personalized assessment reports and what they tell us about you
  • A customized report that describes your optimal work environment and possible careers that match your strengths and abilities
  • Optional- Possible schools or educational opportunities for anyone thinking of returning to school
  • A plan to go forward that includes setting goals, activities, and a time frame that fits your life goals

Our one-on-one review sessions ensure that you will have enough time to really understand your results and learn more about what makes you “tick”. Additional Coaching is available after the session. Discussions can take place by telephone or in person.

Package #1B: Career Compass Coaching Plus Package*: is the same as package #1, however it includes taking the Print Test ( Unconscious Motivators) and includes 4 coaching sessions.

Package #1C: Career Compass Coaching Package*: A shorter version of package #1 for the “adult wanderer” or confused.

Package #2: Career Explorer: 1 hour session with no assessments; Suggestions for new directions, exploring strengths, job hunt strategies or marketing oneself; Create an action plan to go forward.

Package #3: Bronze Adult Sampler: One 90 minute session using the MBTI and Strong-Suggestions for new directions: or returning to School

Package #4: The Elite Package: Includes Package 1 ( Career Compass) and unlimited coaching sessions till you have reached your goals

Career Assessment Tests

The Highlands Ability Battery
The gold standard among assessment tools measuring individual abilities. Abilities are hard-wired in each of us at birth and can be measured after the age of fourteen. The test gives us information on natural aptitudes, compatible work roles, artistic abilities and learning channels. This is an objective assessment that will measure through timed work samples, what you are actually good at and takes about 3 1/2 hours to do online.

What will I get from taking the Highlands Ability Battery?

  • An understanding of my natural talents and what are my best learning channels
  • Learning where I am most likely to be happy and successful and my optimal work environment
  • Choosing the best option from a group of education/career/job/business choices
  • Finding a suitable educational program for college, grad school or returning to college at any age
  • What is my general sense of looking at Time Frame as I look into the future?  Am I more focused on the present or long term strategy?
  • What are my driving abilities?  Those abilities that I possess that if I don’t use will create frustration in my work?

Strong Interest Inventory®
This inventory takes about 30 minutes to complete online and results in a computer generated report revealing career recommendations based solely on interests. This is one of the most respected and widely used career planning instruments in the world. It is based on the work of Dr. John Holland’s theory of career types.

Myers Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI)®
This 30 minute self- report paper and pencil inventory is one of the most widely used personality instruments in the world today that utilizes Carl Jung’s theory of psychological types. By learning which of 16 personality types into which a person fits, a person can find a better fit for a career and work setting.

Print Survey
The Print Survey is an outstanding test that gives us information about what motivates us and gives us insight into ourselves. It is based on 9 unconscious Motivators and 2 patterns that predominate for each person. Some of the information it provides:

  • Provides us with an understanding of our view of the world; why we do what we do
  • Helps us understand the unconscious motivators that drive our behavior

Some of the benefits include:

  • Being aware of what triggers us and causes us to act in behaviors that are not positive
  • A list of career requirements that help in finding a position that is a good match ( highly regarded by clients)
  • Strategies for understanding ourselves and people around us better – eliminate
  • Helps us understand the triggers that tend to make us react negatively- eliminate

Why So Many Assessment Tests?

Taking several assessments provides an individual concise information about themselves and their career choices. Its like a “Capability CAT scan:” Information is revealed from these assessments that a person might not necessarily have known without them. Pricing is dependent on which assessments are chosen.
