Career coaching packages are available from $150 – $1,000

A Career Coaching Package has these and other answers. A package of coaching hours and assessment tools is ideal for adults who want to explore their career options, understand their motivations, find their passions and make decisions.

Our confidential, in-person coaching, counseling sessions and assessment reports will help you:

  • Match your strengths and abilities to the right position so that you pursue the opportunities where you’ll have a higher likelihood for success and satisfaction.
  • Create a path and a plan to move forward in the direction of your best match and passion, including setting goals, activities and a time frame that fits your life goal
  • Avoid costly mistakes, wasted time and frustration from pursuing opportunities that aren’t the right fit for you.

Specifics. Packages vary based on the number of coaching sessions you have, as well as which assessment tools we use. Regardless of which package you choose, you’ll always meet with me, your career coach, in person, in my office or if you choose – by phone. We’ll go over your assessments, what they tell us about you and, most importantly—what that specifically means to you, your career choices and action plan.

Here’s a little about each of the assessments and what they measure. See below for more information.

  • The Highlands Ability Battery™ identifies your natural abilities, learning channels, and ideal work situation.
  • Strong Interest Inventory identifies your interests and how that relates to different careers and job tasks.
  • Myers-Briggs Type Indicator® helps you understand your personality traits that impact how you communicate with others, and fits for different careers.
  • Print Test looks at your unconscious motivators that help you choose the right kind of work, understand your triggers and optimum career requirements.

Reports and Results. As a career coaching client, you receive comprehensive reports and feedback, plus you’ll be energized and equipped with what you need to know and what you need to do to make the best career decision for YOU. You will have more focus, clarity and confidence to take action in the direction of your dream.

Hourly Career Coaching

Career Explorer – One hour session with no assessments. You will receive suggestions for new directions, a discussion of your strengths and ideas for new
job opportunities and/ or returning to school.

Peak Explorer – 3 one-hour sessions using no assessments but exercises and discussions. This includes looking at past experiences, job
challenges and childhood for coaching and suggestions for new directions.

We also have packages for students, millennials and lawyers and can customize any of our packages.

Career Assessment Tests

The Highlands Ability Battery

The gold standard among assessment tools for measuring individual abilities. Abilities are hard-wired in each of us at birth and can be measured after the age of 14. The test gives us information on natural aptitudes, compatible work roles, artistic abilities and learning channels. Through timed work, this objective assessment will measure what you are actually good at. It takes about three and a half hours to complete.

What will I get from taking the Highlands Ability Battery?

  • An understanding of my natural talents and my best learning channels
  • Learning where I am most likely to be happy and successful and my optimal work environment
  • Ideas for the best options from a group of education/career/job/business choices
  • Finding a suitable educational program for college, grad school or returning to college at any age

Strong Interest Inventory

This inventory takes about 30 minutes to complete and results in a computer generated report revealing career recommendations based solely on interests. Based on the work of Dr. John Holland’s theory of career types, this is one of the most respected and widely used career planning instruments in the world.

Myers-Briggs Type Indicator

This 30 minute self-report inventory is one of the most widely used personality instruments in the world today. By learning which of 16 personality types you match, you can find a better fit for a career and work setting. As many as 1.5 million assessments are administered annually to individuals.  The Myers-Briggs sorts personality differences regarding how people direct their energy, take in information, make decisions and deal with the outer world. The resulting four-letter “Types” can be used for individual career development, career change and coaching.

PRINT Survey

The PRINT Survey is an outstanding test that gives us information about what motivates you. It reveals nine unconscious motivators and two patterns that predominate for each person. Some of the information it provides:

  • An understanding of your world view; why you do what you do
  • An understanding of the unconscious motivators that drive your behavior

Some of the benefits include:

  • Being aware of what triggers us and causes us to act in counterproductive behaviors
  • A list of career requirements that help in finding a position that is a good match

Why So Many Assessment Tests?

Taking several assessments provides you with comprehensive information about yourself and your career choices. It’s like a “Capability CAT Scan,” i.e. multiple tests provide a deeper view of your talents and provide information you might not necessarily have known about yourself.
